An apparent murder-suicide is under investigation after an elderly man and woman were found dead inside a hospital room at Methodist Hospital in the Medical Center. San Antonio Police spokeswoman Jennifer Rodriguez says it was a hospital employee who made the discovery, while checking on an elderly patient.
"The husband at some point in the morning shot his wife who was a patient there," said Rodriguez. "At no time were the hospital employees, visitors and most importantly the patients in any danger."
Investigators say it appears no one heard the gunshots.
Both the man and woman were believed to be in the 80s.
