A pair of fifth-inning home runs led the Astros to a 5-2 win over the Royals in Houston. Jose Altuve and Yordan Alvarez each went deep to put Houston up 3-2, and Justin Verlander ensured the Astros led the rest of the way from there. He picked up his league-leading 11th win with six innings of work. Ryan Pressly earned his 18th save. The Astros have won nine of their last ten games. Houston visits the A's tonight and sends right-hander Jose Urquidy to the mound.
