Several south Texas counties are declaring an "invasion" of Texas by illegal immigrants, and are calling on Governor Greg Abbott to do likewise. A group of county judges and sheriffs attended a news conference on Tuesday in Brackettville, where they announced their support of the declaration. Kinney County Judge Tulley Shahan says both the U.S. Constitution and the Texas Constitution allow the state to declare an invasion. The officials blamed the Biden administration's open-border policy for the situation.
