Compensation From State To Uvalde Families Decried As Slow, Insufficient

A couple of south Texas officials say state compensation benefits to the families of the Uvalde shooting victims are both delayed and insufficient. Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin and State Sen. Roland Gutierrez sent a letter to Gov. Greg Abbott asking him to remove Uvalde County District Attorney Christina Mitchell Busbee from overseeing victims' services. The letter called on Abbott to put the Texas Division of Emergency Management on the job.
