A book drive for the school kids of Uvalde is described as a huge success. Kaity Kelsey, a Uvalde mother who works for a children's publisher, started the drive the day after last month's deadly school shooting. So far 45-thousand donated books have arrived at St. Philips Episcopal Church. The goal was to fill 700 tote bags with books and other supplies for the students at Robb Elementary. They've got enough goods for 12-hundred bags, each of which also contains a teddy bear, a chess set, and a jigsaw puzzle.
