The Astros are getting some good news on the status of their top hitter. Left fielder Yordan Alvarez is considered day-to-day after suffering a hand injury over the weekend. Houston manager Dusty Baker said the "prognosis was better than we had hoped for" and that Alvarez avoided structural damage. The 24-year-old leads the Astros with a .311 batting average, 18 home runs and 47 RBI this season.
