A Texas Senate committee looking at the deadly Uvalde school shooting will meet in two-weeks. Democratic Senator Chuy Hinojosa says he hopes the Senate Special Committee to Protect All Texans will seriously review school safety when it meets June 21st. He wants the Texas government to enact a ten-day waiting period for long gun purchases, a red flag law, and criminal background checks for all weapons. Hinojosa says he believes most gun owners are responsible, but he wants to raise the long gun purchase age limit to 21.
