The federal government is launching an investigation into the school shooting in Uvalde. The Justice Department has selected a team of nine people to review the police response. The team includes former police chiefs who will evaluate the decisions made by the incident commander. The gunman who murdered 19 children was locked in a classroom for more than an hour while officers waited in a hallway.
