San Antonio Police Chief William McManus says SAPD officers wouldn't have waited to enter a school to take out a shooter. McManus spoke to the Rotary Club on Wednesday, saying the SAPD sent SWAT team members to Uvalde by car and helicopter soon as they heard about the shooting in progress at Robb Elementary School. By the time they got there about 45 minutes later, the shooter was dead. McManus says its seemed like nobody at the scene knew who was in charge.
