Texas health officials say the state has its first case of monkeypox this year. The Texas Department of State Health Services announced on Tuesday that the case involves a Dallas County resident who recently traveled abroad. The department is investigating the case with the assistance of Dallas County Health and Human Services and the CDC. They say the illness doesn't present a risk to the general public.
