Three Texas Department of Criminal Justice workers and an inmate are all hospitalized following a suspected drunk driving crash. Conroe police say the van smashed into a pickup early this morning on I-45 near FM-1097. It's believed the truck driver collided with a wall and stopped in the middle of the freeway before being hit. The inmate is in critical condition but should survive. The guards are in serious condition. The TDCJ inmate was being returned to Rusk Correctional Unit after getting treatment at UTMB Galveston at the time of the crash.
