Congressional candidate Jessica Cisneros is requesting a recount in the Democratic primary runoff against U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar. Cisneros made the announcement on Monday, soon after the Texas Democratic Party certified its primary runoff results. Cuellar, a rare pro-life Democrat, edged Cisneros, a left-wing lawyer, by fewer than 300-votes in the runoff for the 28th District in south Texas. Cuellar acknowledges Cisneros's right to call for a recall in such a close race, but says her efforts are a waste of time.
