A former Bexar County deputy and three members of the Texas Mexican Mafia are under indictment for drug and bribery charges. A Bexar County grand jury indicted 33-year-old Armando Trevino for engaging in criminal activity, bribery, bringing drugs into jail, and drug possession. Acting on a tip, the Public Integrity Unit reportedly caught Trevino making a drug deal in 2019 and arrested him. He resigned a month later. Salazar says he believes Trevino had been smuggling drugs into the jail, and more arrests are likely in the case.
