Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff confirms he has tested positive for COVID-19.
"On Wednesday I woke up with congestion thinking it was a head cold. This morning, after no improvement, my wife Tracy and I took a PCR tests and we both tested positive for COVID-19," said Wolff in a statement. "We do not know the strain or how we came in contact with the virus. We are experiencing mild symptoms and are receiving treatment and care at home."
He says he has contacted those he has been in close contact with, including those who he had close contact with at the "State of the County" address on Wednesday.
"This latest incident underscores how persistent this virus can be," said Wolff. "While vaccinations and boosters are not a silver bullet to infection, they will protect us from any serious illness from the virus."
