Teachers, nurses and librarians in the Boerne ISD are in for a pay raise. The district's board of trustees approved a 3.5% pay increase during Monday night's board meeting. That amounts to just over $2,000 a year, and boosts the starting pay for a first-year teacher to $52,250. A reduction in health insurance premiums in the upcoming school year makes the effective pay raise just over 6%.
