Teachers and other employees of the San Antonio ISD are demanding a pay raise. They say they need a pay increase to deal with the lingering impacts of the pandemic, as well as the current spike in inflation. 1 or 2% raises won't do, they say, because that's more than offset by the rising cost of living. Alejandra Lopez, president of the San Antonio Alliance, says they're talking with district officials about a 5% pay raise.
