The Symphony Society of San Antonio is calling off the rest of the season after negotiations with the musicians' union fell apart. A spokesman for the union says they won't return to the negotiating table until the Symphony agrees to raise its budget above five-million-dollars. The main sticking point is the Symphony's plan to reduce staff and cut salaries. In the meantime, musicians with the Symphony are putting on a series of concerts, including two on May 12th and 13th at First Baptist Church of San Antonio. Tickets are available online.
