Comal ISD is still dealing with a shortage of bus drivers, sometimes falling short of being able to provide adequate service to students. On Friday, the district had to cancel several bus routes, and because of an email glitch, about 35 families didn't get the message. The district is short about 19 drivers. District officials say they offer training paid for by the district and allow drivers the flexibility to work either mornings or afternoons. They also raised the starting pay to more than 16-dollars an hour.
