The Dallas Stars are taking home-ice advantage in their first round playoff series with the Calgary Flames. Jake Oettinger stopped all 29 shots that he faced in a 2-0 Stars win over the Flames in game two at Scotiabank Saddledome. Joe Pavelski opened the scoring with a goal halfway through the first period, and Michael Raffl added an empty-netter with just over a minute left in the contest. Jacob Markstrom made 21 saves in the losing effort. The best-of-seven series is tied at a game apiece, and game three will be played in Dallas on Saturday.
