President Biden is confirming the departure of White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on May 13th. Biden put out a statement saying Psaki's top deputy, Karine Jean-Pierre, will become press secretary. Biden praised Psaki for "returning decency, respect and decorum to the White House Briefing Room." Psaki is rumored to be heading to MSNBC. Biden said Jean-Pierre brings "experience, talent and integrity" to the job.

Meantime, Biden announced the return of Anita Dunn as a senior adviser and assistant to the President. Dunn is expected to be heavily involved in strategy and messaging ahead of November's crucial midterm elections. She previously served during the first seven months of the Biden administration.
