Texas could be on the edge of banning abortion. According to Politico, the U.S. Supreme Court is planning to overturn Roe v. Wade, which would activate an almost total ban of abortion passed by the Texas Legislature last year. The "trigger law" signed by Governor Abbott would enact the ban thirty days after the court votes to end federal protection of abortions up to 24 weeks. The decision on Mississippi's abortion law, which put Roe v. Wade into question, is expected to be announced this summer.
