Lake Travis is at its lowest level in over three years. The lake level at Mansfield Dam was recorded at just under 656 feet above sea level this afternoon. That's the lowest level the lake as seen since it dipped to just under 654 feet in September 2018.

The drop in water level comes as drought conditions in the area continue to worsen, especially in the Hill Country. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, some areas to the northwest and west of Austin are in Exceptional Drought stages. *See map below.

The all-time low level for the lake was 614.18′ on August 14, 1951. The all-time high level for the lake was 710.44' on December 25, 1991.
