The Blue Jays beat the Houston Astros in a 3-2 pitcher's duel in Toronto. Kevin Gausman twirled seven brilliant innings, striking out 10 and allowing two runs to earn the win. The Jays scored the go-ahead run on an RBI single by Santiago Espinal in the bottom of the seventh inning. Bo Bichette went deep in the victory, which is Toronto's third in its last four games. Framber Valdez was charged with the loss after allowing three runs on just two hits in six-and-a-third innings. Houston has lost two in a row.
