The state of Texas is filing another lawsuit against the Biden Administration's immigration policies. Attorney General Ken Paxton announced he is suing the White House over the plan to overhaul the asylum system that is expected to go into effect at the end of May. The new plan would give asylum officers authority to grant claims at the U.S.-Mexico border instead of immigration judges, and allow asylum-seekers into the country while their cases are still pending. The lawsuit claims the new asylum program would upend the legal process in favor of migrants.
