A San Antonio city councilman says the city's record sales tax revenues could be used to partially offset its record property tax revenues. The city has collected 184-million-dollars in sales taxes so far this year, which is 21-percent more than last year at this time. Councilman Clayton Perry says the city can afford the maximum homestead exemption allowed, making 20-percent of a home's value tax-exempt.
