The only Hispanic woman on Texas death row has managed to avoid execution. The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals has granted a stay in the case of Melissa Lucio. State Representative Jeff Leach, who had been championing her case, says the murder charges will go back to the trial court. Lucio's family says she was pressured by police into admitting guilt after she was accused of killing her daughter back in 2007. Several jurors who were on her trial say they were not provided with all the information and they regretted their guilty verdict.
