The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals will not be ordered to consider giving a convicted North Texas murderer a new trial. The U.S. Supreme Court rejected Kristopher Love's request today in a six-to-three vote. Love was sent to death row four years ago in connection with the shooting death of Dr. Kendra Hatcher. The dentist was killed in 2015 outside her apartment. Dallas County prosecutors say Love was hired by the former girlfriend of Hatcher's boyfriend. Love's attorneys argued he needs a new trial because one juror said they believed non-whites were more violent races. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote she believed the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals should hear Love's case.
