Texas is ending enhanced tractor trailer inspections at one Mexican border station. Governor Greg Abbott announced an agreement with Nuevo Leon Governor Samuel Garcia today. Garcia says law enforcement is planning to continuously patrol its border with Texas to find any drug and human smugglers. Abbott says state troopers will go back to the previous random checks of big rigs instead of looking at every one. The Republican is hoping other Mexican governors will made similar deals with Texas so other border stations can go back to normal. Long lines have been reported at ports of entry since Abbott announced the enhanced inspections last week. He says they're needed because the Biden administration won't secure the border.
