Radek Faksa scored the go-ahead goal in the second period as the Stars edged the Islanders 3-2 in Dallas. Faksa netted his fifth goal of the season and broke a 2-2 tie midway through the second. The teams would not find the back of the net for the rest of the game. Tyler Seguin and Marian Studenic also added scores for Dallas, which improved to 40-26-and-3. The Stars sit fifth in the Central Division with 83 points. Dallas hosts the Maple Leafs tomorrow night.
