The Big 12 conference is looking for a new ringleader. Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby announced Tuesday that he is stepping down from his role later this year. The 70-year-old says hat he made the decision to retire two weeks ago, but he wanted to wait for the NCAA Tournament to conclude before making an official announcement. Bowlsby added that the COVID-shortened 2020 season and the loss of Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC played a role in his decision, but he also said that there wasn't one specific thing that led to his retirement.
