Xavier held on for a 73-72 victory over Texas A&M in the NIT Championship. The Musketeers outscored the Aggies by nine points in the second half to secure the crown in the final NIT title game to be held at Madison Square Garden. Colby Jones led Xavier in scoring with 21 points while Jack Nunge recorded a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Quenton Jackson led all scorers with 23 points in the loss for the Aggies.
