Attorney General Ken Paxton is asking the Texas Supreme Court to allow investigations into parents of transgender children to resume. In a petition to the Court, Paxton claims a temporary injunction of the probes is "preventing the State from protecting Texas children." Investigations of parents who allowed their children to receive gender-affirming care were blocked by a district judge earlier this month, and the injunction was upheld by an appeals court on Monday. The block stems from a lawsuit filed by the ACLU on behalf of parents of a trans teenager.
