Texas earned an NCAA Tournament victory. The six-seed Longhorns defeated 11-seed Virginia Tech in the first round of the NCAA Tournament in Milwaukee. Andrew Jones scored 21 points for Texas, which will face Purdue in the next round. Sean Pedulla scored 19 points off the bench for Virginia Tech, which finishes the season 23-and-13.
Texas plays Purdue on Sunday night. 7:40 p.m. tipoff.
