The Cowboys are continuing to shed salaries to get under the salary cap. Dallas released right tackle La'el Collins on Thursday in a move that saves the team $10 million. It doesn't completely alleviate the Cowboys' books as Collins' release counts for $8.7 million against the 2023 cap. Dallas had reportedly pursued a trade of Collins, but his contract presented issues for interested teams. The 28-year-old started 10 games for the Cowboys last season, but has battled injuries over the past couple seasons.
