Bexar County Commissioners are approving a ten-million-dollar outlay to expand the athletic facilities at Texas A&M San Antonio. Precinct One Commissioner Rebeca Clay-Flores supported the funding, which she says is from recovered visitor tax revenues, including hotel and car rental taxes. The money will pay for a multi-purpose track and field facility and improvements to the campus softball field. University president Dr. Cynthia Teniente-Matson says they're not sure when the funds will arrive, but the sooner the better.
