Comal ISD is grappling with a severe shortage of school bus drivers. Comal is one of the San Antonio area's biggest and fastest growing school districts, with more than 27,000 students spread over five-counties. District officials say Comal ISD is experiencing four or five bus route cancelations every week. Drivers have to double up on routes in order to get kids to school and home again. Officials say job listings are posted, but not enough people are applying.
