San Antonio city officials and representatives of the police union have negotiated a tentative deal for a new contract. It took just over a year of talks to work out the agreement that will cover San Antonio police officers for the next four-and-a-half years. The deal makes changes to officer disciplinary processes and raises officers' pay by more than 15% by the time the contract ends in September 2026. Once the contract takes effect, officers would also get a two-percent lump sum payment.
