Texas Republicans say they won't support a short-term funding bill that includes President Biden's vaccine mandates. U.S. Congressman Chip Roy, who represents San Antonio, say the mandates are unlawful. The Supreme Court and other courts have blocked several of Biden's attempts to mandate the vaccines. The Senate has until Friday to pass a short-term funding bill the House approved last week, or else a temporary government shutdown will result. Ted Cruz of Texas is one of six Republican senators who wrote a letter on Monday in support of removing the vaccine mandate funding from the bill.
