A construction worker is dead after a piece of machinery fell onto him on Tuesday afternoon. Officials say the accident happened around 2 p.m. at a job site on I-10 West near Dominion Drive. The young man was working with some heavy machinery on a hillside when the machine reportedly fell over on top of him. Co-workers found him about half an hour later. First responders used airbags and jaws of life to lift the machinery. They performed CPR and other life-saving measures, but couldn't revive the man.
