Beto O'Rourke, who's running for Texas governor as a Democrat, is backpedaling on a plan to seize assault weapons. Speaking in the east Texas town of Tyler this week, O'Rourke said he's "not interested in taking anything from anyone." During O'Rourke's failed presidential campaign in 2020, declared during a debate that if elected, "Hell yes," he would confiscate AR-15s and AK-47s. O'Rourke now says he wants to defend the Second Amendment.
