Austin's water director is resigning just days after the city came out of a boil water notice. Greg Meszaros submitted his resignation papers today saying he's proud of everything he's done over the last 15 years but it's time to go. No reason was given but Meszaros cited talks with family and his circle of friends. He also took responsibility for a three-day boil water notice issued last Saturday after the Ullrich Water Treatment Plant was taken offline. Human error has been blamed for the issue. Three workers are on leave while Austin Water investigates.
