Governor Greg Abbott is talking about giving parents more control over education decisions involving their children during his latest visit to South Texas. Abbott spoke about his proposed Parental Bill of Rights at a restaurant in Harlingen yesterday. The measure would amend the Texas Constitution to allow parents to access their child's course curriculum and give them more power to make decisions usually left to school administrators. Abbott has made multiple visits to South Texas ahead of the March 1st Republican primary.
