The Attorney General of Texas is defending the state-run border security program known as Operation Lone Star. Republican Ken Paxton says the federal government has failed to stop illegal immigration, so the state has to take action. A group of Texas Democrats is urging the Biden Administration to step in and stop the state effort. They claim it's unconstitutional for a state to enforce federal immigration law. So far, the Justice Department hasn't responded.
