Two teens accused of attacking their mother inside their apartment on the far West Side will remain in custody for now. The 13-year-old boy and his 16-year-old sister appeared before a judge on Thursday morning. The boy attended the hearing in person, while his sister took part remotely. The two are accused of stabbing and beating their mom, who also joined the hearing remotely. Prosecutors said the kids are a danger to themselves and others. The judge decided they'll remain in custody at least until their hearings next month.
