A local expert says the omicron surge in the San Antonio area may reach its peak by the end of January. Infectious disease specialist Dr. Ruth Berggren with the Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio says current projections and data show the local peak may come in another ten-days or so. Dr. Berggren says even after the cases peak, it may be sometime in March before the numbers start dropping.
