The Supreme Court is hearing arguments in a campaign finance case. Texas Senator Ted Cruz is challenging a 2002 law that put new limits on political donations and tried to stamp out so-called "soft money" donations that skirted those limits. The Texas Republican wants the court to strike down part of the law that restricts a campaign's ability to raise money after an election to repay a candidate's personal loan. Conservatives maintain that regulating campaign finance encroaches on a candidate's freedom of speech.
