San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg is concerned COVID-19 is seriously straining the healthcare system.
"This Omicron surge is likely nothing they've seen before and it is happening at the same time other services, surgeries and trauma care is happening," said Nirenberg.
Nirenberg expressed some optimism the Omicron surge will quickly disappear but still want people to get the COVID vaccine and booster. He also pushed for people to wear masks over their mouth and nose.
