Governor Greg Abbott's reelection campaign has the support of lawmen from across Texas. Governor Abbott was in San Antonio on Tuesday, where more than two-dozen sheriffs said he provided their counties with needed resources and security. The sheriffs praised Operation Lone Star, which enhanced security along the southern border last year. One of the endorsements the governor received came from the Deputy Sheriff's Association of Bexar County. But Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar, a Democrat, was conspicuously absent from the news conference.
