UT Southwestern Researchers: Omicron Should Peak By End Of Month

Researchers at UT Southwestern are forecasting the peak of the omicron surge will happen around the end of this month. There are more than 2,200 coronavirus patients hospitalized in North Texas, the most since the delta surge in October. The federal government will soon provide more testing sites in Dallas and Tarrant Counties. The omicron variant has milder symptoms, but health officials say the vaccine is useful to prevent severe illness and death.
