Texas Coronavirus Hospitalizations Top 7K For First Time Since October

State health officials say more than 7,000 people are hospitalized in Texas with coronavirus. The Texas Department of State Health Services on Monday reported 7,015 people in the hospital for the virus statewide, which is the most since the delta surge in early October. The summer surge peaked at nearly 14,000 patients in late August. The state's pandemic high was in January, when more than 14-thousand Texans were in the hospital.
